Otto Schiffer, a 21-year-old entrepreneur, founded Sunday at 17 years old. Based out of Melbourne, Sunday is a contemporary loungewear brand built around authenticity and clarity of identity, capturing the idea that emotion itself is innately ingrained in what we wear. Otto launched Sunday in his final year of school, graduating in 2022. Since leaving school. Otto has scaled Sunday to become an eight-figure business with a global customer base and a cult following of over 85,000 on Instagram. Still in the early stages of his career, Otto represents a generation of young Australian creatives who have built something from the ground up, driven by obsession, tenacity & a clear creative vision. Meet the Designer
Sunday was born from a childhood memory that its founder, Otto Schiffer, has always held dear to him. Growing up, Otto so vividly remembers coming out into the lounge room on a Sunday morning, his Dad would be on the couch in this ratty fleece from target, watching rage, the 2000's music broadcast show, with a cup of coffee in hand. That feeling of crawling up onto the cold leather couch in his pyjamas where his feet would barely touch the ground.. that is what Sunday felt like to him. Once Otto established this memory as the backbone of Sunday's brand, he would go on to design & create garments that emulated that feeling, whilst also encouraging others to lean into the notion of their own Sunday morning. For Otto, it's about showcasing that emotion itself is so innately intertwined within what we wear, whether we recognise it or not.
