About WEIRDWORLDORDER

WeirdWorldOrder is a fashion label disguised as a coping mechanism. Built on the idea that the things we try hardest to hide are often our biggest superpowers, WWO reimagines insecurity as armour—emotional, functional, and ready-to-wear.

Each piece is engineered for overstimulated minds and hypersensitive bodies: a fidget toy you can wear, a soft barricade for daily life. Less about trend, more about transmission. WWO builds statement pieces into everyday silhouettes—clothes that hold space without screaming for it.

No fixed origin story, no designer ego. Just a frequency for the kids who feel too much, think too hard, and refuse to dilute it.

Meet the designer

Julianna Yao has spent over a decade shaping the visual language of fashion, music, and culture. Her journey began in early adolescence, where fashion became both a coping mechanism and creative outlet.
She was mentored by streetwear visionary Demian Renucci and went on to intern at Vogue and GQ, before cutting her teeth across editorial, runway, and commercial styling in Sydney, New York, and Japan.
Her creative direction and styling portfolio spans a wide spectrum—from global campaigns with Porsche, Qantas, Nike, New Balance, and Anthropologie, to working alongside record labels like Sony, Warner, Universal, and Def Jam. She has styled A-list musicians including Miguel, PARTYNEXTDOOR, 2Hollis, and OneFour—developing a signature style that fuses softness with defiance, subculture with clarity.
WeirdWorldOrder is the distillation of that path: a ready-to-wear label designed as emotional armour for overstimulated minds. It speaks to those who feel too much and think too hard A uniform for the misfit divine.

The Ritual of Death and Becoming

Inspired by the myth of Persephone, The Ritual of Death and Becoming traces a symbolic death of self. The collection begins with garments of softness and innocence, fades into silhouettes of descent and shadow, and finally evolves into forms of abundance and self-sovereignty. Through sculptural tailoring, ceremonial draping, and surreal colour transitions, each look honours shadow integration and the beauty of emotional rebirth.
